Easter and Lent Music: Choral and Congregational

NOTE:  In addition to the following Easter hymn arrangements, you may also want to consider the congregational hymn arrangement for "All Hail the Power of Jesus' Name."

While it's not specifically an Easter hymn, "All Hail the Power" would fit well into an Easter service, and this arrangement calls for a chamber orchestra similar to what you might already have on hand for an Easter piece like Vivaldi's "Gloria" or the Second Part of Handel's "Messiah."

Thine Is the Glory (congregational hymn arrangement)

An arrangement of verse 3, scored for brass (2 trumpets in Bb, with optional parts for horn, trombone, and/or tuba) and organ

Christ the Lord Is Ris'n Today (congregational hymn arrangement)

An introduction and an arrangement of the last verse of this hymn (tune: Llanfair), scored for 2 trumpets in C, horn, trombone, and organ

Jesus Christ Is Risen Today (congregational hymn arrangement)

A brief introduction (designed to be an introduction to the Drummond Wolff arrangement of this hymn), scored for 2 trumpets in C, horn, trombone, and organ

Alleluia (introit or closing choral response)

A brief "Alleluia" that could be used for Easter (or any other service);  Written for SATB choir accompanied in one of the following ways:

Ca. 1 min.

Easter and Lent Music: InstrumentalMinuet and Fugue for Brass Quintet (prelude or offertory)
