Description of "We Wish You a Merry Christmas"
There have been many arrangements made of this carol, to be sure, but this one distinguishes itself as being one of the fastest and most rollicking ever created. This arrangement highlights the frenzied flurry of holiday activities that we all too often find ourselves tangled up in, and thus it gently pokes fun at our holiday madness.
The forward drive of this arrangement never lets up, from the whirlwind opening all the way through to the chorus's humorously stubborn cries for figgy pudding near the end. This piece is short, but makes quite an impact. Boisterous and fun throughout, and with a rather splashy ending, it would make a dazzling send-off for your audience.
