For a Patriotic Pops Concert

Quick Description:  This original composition will be a emotionally stirring tribute to America, and would be a good choice for your Patriotic Pops concert if you're looking for a piece that's shorter than "Lincoln Portrait."  This piece is in the planning stages, and will be around 4 to 6 minutes in length.

Description of "Our Land of Freedom"

Most of the pops music I've written thus far has featured arrangements of existing melodies.  However, I like to think that even though these pieces are "arrangements," there's still a fair amount of original composition that goes into them.

My Patriotic Pops piece "Our Land of Freedom," on the other hand, will be an entirely original composition.  At a planned length of only 4-6 minutes, it may prove to be a perfect fit for your next Patriotic Pops concert.

My goal is to create a piece that runs the gamut of emotions, from tranquil Americana melodies all the way to rousing, patriotic fanfares, thereby showing off the full range of expression in your pops orchestra.

I'm hoping to have this piece done in time for the Patriotic Pops concerts of 2008.

"Masterful orchestration is a hallmark of his writing.  I recommend the music of Peter Bloesch wholeheartedly.  Your orchestra and your audience will be delighted if you perform it!"
